Recently, our team has grown with a new face: Nienke! She is joining us as an Online Marketing intern and will be supporting our marketing team at Orange Juice in the coming months. To get to know her a little better, we asked her a few questions. Keep reading to meet her!
My name is Nienke de Vos, I’m 19 years old and I live in Bemmel. I live at home with my parents, my sister, my brother, and our two cats, Kees and Moos. At the moment, I’m in my third year of the Commercial Economics program at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, going to parties, and playing football. Alongside my internship, I also work in elderly care as a home support worker. I find it rewarding to help people who can’t do everything on their own anymore, and it gives me a lot of satisfaction.
I had posted a message on LinkedIn and received a response quite quickly. Soon after, I was invited for an interview at the office, and the connection was instant. The conversation went very smoothly and felt right straight away. That’s how I ended up at Orange Juice!
During my internship, I hope to gain more insight into which area of marketing I enjoy the most. I’m curious to find out whether I’d like to focus more on online marketing, strategy, or maybe something completely different. I also hope to get a clearer idea of what I’d like to do in the future, because right now I don’t know yet and I’m still open to many possibilities.
I get energy from working together with other people. I really enjoy hearing other people’s ideas and creating the best plan together. Learning new things also gives me a lot of energy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I like doing fun activities together, such as going out somewhere or simply relaxing with each other. I also enjoy playing sports.
I’m a social person and I enjoy working with others and maintaining good communication. In addition, I’m a hard worker who always puts in full effort to complete tasks as well as possible. I’m also eager to learn: I find it important to gain new knowledge and to keep developing myself.
I’m still in the process of discovering where my interests lie, so I’m curious about the new ideas and experiences I’ll gain during my internship. By working on different tasks and projects, I hope to better understand the many aspects of marketing. This way, I can find out what I enjoy most and what suits me best. After my internship, I’d like to have a clearer idea of the direction I want to take in the future and where I’d like to further develop myself.
When I was younger, I always wanted to become a teacher, but over time I realized that my real interest lies in marketing.
