New collaboration with Yogisha
Orange Juice will support Yogisha in all online marketing activities for the coming years. The company Yogisha was founded 14 years ago by Dominique Brandsma. She studied medicine and has a keen interest in physical well-being and how one can influence it themselves. During her studies, the causes and prevention of diseases were not adequately covered. Dominique finds the impact of a healthy and conscious lifestyle important, which fuels her passion for yoga.
After her studies, Dominique took the time to explore her future. She discovered yoga and quickly became an avid practitioner. During this period, she traveled to places like Canada and New York, where yoga was already widely practiced. She noticed this trend also emerging in the Netherlands, with multiple yoga studios opening. However, there were no stores where one could buy yoga equipment and clothing. This led Dominique to the idea of opening a yoga store in the Netherlands, named Yogisha, and soon after, a webshop followed.
The store in Amsterdam and the online sales quickly became a great success. A plan was developed to open stores in multiple cities, resulting in shops in The Hague, Rotterdam, and Utrecht. At the beginning of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, and initially, things went very well. Home workouts became very popular in a short time, leading to a significant increase in webshop orders. Later, like many other businesses, Yogisha faced challenges during the pandemic. The stores suffered due to lockdowns and declining revenues. Dominique decided to return to basics, focusing entirely on the Amsterdam store and the webshop.
'Stillness in the city': Calmness and peace, how do you bring that into the hustle and bustle of the city?
We all know yoga as a sport, a form of exercise that is good for your body, usually done in a yoga studio. But yoga is much more than that and doesn’t end when you step off your yoga mat. It can be continued very well in your daily life. Many yoga businesses focus on the mat and the postures. In yoga, you learn to apply flexibility in both body and mind. Dominique experiences this by carrying the focus from yoga into the rest of her day. We sometimes set the bar very high for ourselves, but it doesn’t always have to be perfect. Always think: ‘What does yoga bring you, and what can you carry into the rest of your day?’ After your yoga class, try to continue enjoying what has happened and don’t immediately reach for your phone.
For example, when standing in line at the supermarket and the cashier seems to take too long, instead of getting annoyed, try handling the situation differently by focusing on your breathing or meditating for a minute.
Yogisha challenges others to incorporate yoga into their everyday life, not just in the yoga studio. You can adopt yoga as a conscious lifestyle.
A long-term collaboration
Orange Juice and Yogisha have entered into a long-term collaboration. Dominique said, "I found Orange Juice through an acquaintance and immediately felt positive about the first contact. My previous experiences with other parties were very impersonal and felt like ‘standard factories’. At Orange Juice, it was personal and very much customer-focused. They provide truly customized service. I noticed right away that they were interested in me, my business, its goals, and long-term ambitions.Â

Remco mentioned that it is a ‘two-way street’ and that the client is expected to be actively involved. You are involved in what happens, and even if you don’t understand certain things, it’s explained in a way that everyone can understand. The combination of intensive contact and complementing each other makes it a strong collaboration."Â
