Cathelijne, together with Orange Juice, formulated the online strategy for the period from 2018 to 2021, aiming for an online revenue of €1,000,000 after 4 years. Orange Juice developed a plan for the e-commerce project and made detailed forecasts. Everything was mapped out; from keywords, competitors, Google positions to webshop performance, and conversion optimization. KPIs were formulated to monitor progress on a weekly basis and adjust as needed.
To achieve the ambitious goals, we assembled a team with marketers and designers from A Beautiful Story and experts from Orange Juice in design, development, and online marketing. The team will collaborate intensively, and there will be a joint working session monthly. All project participants and stakeholders have insight into the progress through a real-time marketing dashboard.
Jewelry with a story
A Beautiful Story is indeed a beautiful story. A fair-trade jewelry brand where products are made by talented artisans from Nepal. Founder Cathelijne Lania has been building this brand since 2006, and the jewelry is available in over 500 stores and in the brand's own webshop.
Result
Through our online efforts, we managed to double the online revenue after just one year, and this doubling trend continued. This also demanded a lot from the customer-facing processes, such as customer support and logistics handling. Since achieving results is an ongoing process, we met monthly with the team from A Beautiful Story. During these meetings, we discussed the results from the past month and the action points for the upcoming period. All of this was supported by data and analysis of the results, ensuring a data-driven approach.

To optimize conversion, we conducted test orders, analyzed the user interface, conducted A/B tests, and collected as much data as possible. Based on this data, we were able to identify and implement website improvements. A significant part of this was improving the responsive design. Furthermore, we obtained the Thuiswinkel Waarborg quality mark and implemented Livechat for online interaction with visitors. All of these efforts led to a significant improvement in the conversion rate.
